Chef Saba Wahid Duffy is a renowned culinary artist whose career began in New York City, where she honed her skills as a caterer for a high-end food and beverage company while attending the prestigious French Culinary Institute. Over the years, she has built a dynamic and accomplished career as a private chef and caterer for numerous high-profile clients.

Her journey took an exciting international turn when she moved to Dubai, where she became a TV host, blending her culinary expertise with lifestyle programming and a popular cooking segment. Teaching and Mentorship

Returning to Boston with a focus on education, training, and impact.

Upon returning to Boston, Chef Saba shifted her focus to culinary education, mentoring aspiring chefs and sharing her extensive knowledge. She later worked as a high-end appliance demonstration chef before finding her passion at a nonprofit culinary training school, where she helped empower the next generation of talent.

Beyond the competition circuit, Chef Saba is an induction cooking expert, certified by the Building Decarbonization Coalition, and a passionate advocate for sustainable kitchen practices. She works as an independent contractor for the City of Boston on initiatives to electrify kitchens across housing developments.

Chef Saba’s competitive drive has been a defining force in her career. She is the winner of Chopped: Martha’s Rules on Food Network, earning the title of Chopped Grand Champion. During her appearance, Martha Stewart praised her as “elegant, eloquent, and a really damn good chef”—words she carries with pride. She used her $50,000 prize to purchase her first food truck, launching her entrepreneurial journey.

She continued to make her mark on the global stage as a finalist on Ciao House, placing second among an elite group of chefs. Most recently, Chef Saba claimed another major victory as the Flavortown Food Fight Champion on Food Network, winning another $20,000 and further cementing her reputation as a fierce and innovative competitor.

The Next Chapter

Kush by Saba marks the latest evolution of her culinary point of view.

She also serves as an ambassador for Aussie Beef & Lamb, proudly showcasing high-quality, grass-fed, halal lamb in her culinary creations. While her influences are global, her signature style remains rooted in modern Mediterranean cuisine, shaped by her South Asian heritage and international experiences.

At the heart of Chef Saba’s newest chapter is her partnership with her sister, who serves as her business partner and Head Chef in the restaurant. Together, they have combined their shared vision, creativity, and passion for hospitality to build a space that reflects both family and culture. Their collaboration has been instrumental in bringing the restaurant to life and creating an experience that feels warm, vibrant, and deeply personal.

Chef Saba’s latest and most exciting venture is the opening of her Somerville, MA brick-and-mortar restaurant in partnership with her sister, Sara Wahid who is the Head Chef. The restaurant’s grand opening was on April 28, 2026, and features a modern Mediterranean menu inspired by their South Asian roots—an evolution of the flavors that were first introduced through the food truck and catering business.
